THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF Reginald Barclay • From his humble origins as a diagnostic engineer to the essential role he played in communicating with the Delta Quadrant, Reginald Barclay demonstrated that first impressions don't always indicate someone's true potential. Throughout his Starfleet career, Barclay showcased resilience as he endured struggles with debilitating anxiety, an assortment of phobias, and an unsettling holodeck addiction. Despite these difficulties, the lieutenant braved his fears, proved himself to be a clever engineer, and established friendships with his shipmates. These factors, as well as his willingness to seek help in his sessions with Counselor Deanna Troi, paint the picture of a person who was just as heroic as any other officer in the fleet.
